These terms apply to everyone who uses Sooftware.com and its language versions, such as de.sooftware.com and es.sooftware.com - visitors, software publishers and advertisers alike. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Sooftware.com is a catalog of Windows, Mac and Android apps with reviews, information and download links. All products available for download through this site are provided by third-party software publishers under license agreements or other arrangements between those publishers and you, the end user. Any questions, complaints or claims about a piece of software should be directed to the author or company that develops it.
A download either comes from the publisher's own server, from an app store such as Google Play, or from a copy of the publisher's file stored on our servers. When we store a copy, it is the file the publisher released, and we do not add anything to it. Files we store are checked with a number of antivirus engines through VirusTotal, and the result is shown on the download page. A clean result means that none of those engines found anything at the time of the scan. It is not a guarantee that the file is safe, and it says nothing about files that are downloaded from other servers.
We disclaim any responsibility for or liability related to the software. We make no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the quality, safety or suitability of the software, either expressed or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Publishers do not pay for reviews, and buying advertising on Sooftware does not buy a review, a better rating or a better position in our listings.
Ratings given by visitors are the visitors' own and do not reflect our opinion. We may remove ratings that look automated or that were made to push an app up or down.
Sooftware is available in several languages, each on its own address. Not everything exists in every language. Where something has not been translated yet, you may see it in English, and some pages or articles may only be available in English.
Reviews in other languages are written for that language from the English review. They describe the same app and the same facts, but the wording is not a word-for-word translation. When an English review is updated, the other languages may follow a little later.
An app that is listed on the German or Spanish version of the site is not necessarily available in German or Spanish. The interface languages we show for an app come from the publisher or from the app's installer, and they can be incomplete or change from one version to the next. An app may also not be offered in your country or in your app store, and its price, licence terms and features can differ from region to region. Please check this with the publisher before you buy.
Some types of software are restricted in some countries. It is your responsibility to make sure that downloading and using an app is legal where you live.
These terms may be published in several languages. If a translated version differs from the English one, the English version applies.
Sooftware shows advertising. Some of it is booked with us directly, mostly by software publishers promoting their own apps, and these ads carry an "Ad" label. Other ads come from third-party networks such as Google, which decide themselves what they show. An advertisement is not a recommendation from us. We check the ads that are booked with us before they go live, but the advertiser is responsible for the app and for what the ad says about it.
Some download and buy links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one of them, we may earn a commission from the seller. It does not change the price you pay, and it has no influence on our reviews.
If you book advertising on Sooftware, through the publisher panel or by agreement with us, the following applies in addition to the rest of these terms.
A publisher account lets you submit and manage your apps, follow their statistics and book advertising. Please keep your account details accurate and your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through your account, and we may suspend an account that is used to break these terms.
By submitting or publishing your images, descriptions, software or any other material (collectively "Content") on or through this site, you grant Sooftware.com a limited license to use, modify, translate, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and distribute that Content on and through this site, in all of its language versions, and in links and previews that point to it.
When you submit Content, you confirm that:
You agree to pay any royalties or other fees owed to any person or entity as a result of Content you post on or through Sooftware.com.
We decide what is listed and how. We may edit, shorten or translate the descriptions you provide, write our own review regardless of your submission, and decline or remove a listing. To keep listings current, we may check your website for new versions and download your files in order to store and scan them. Previous versions may stay available for download unless you give us a reason to remove them.
You may show a Sooftware badge on your website that links to your listing. Please do not alter it in a way that suggests more than what it actually says.
If you want an app or your account removed, contact us. Some pages are stored as copies for speed, so a change can take a while to appear everywhere.

Sooftware.com is currently run by a private individual based in Slovenia. A company is being set up to take over the site, and these terms will be updated with its details once it is registered.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, and disputes are decided by the competent court in Slovenia. If you use the site as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you may also bring a claim before the courts there.
